4-H Growing True Leaders Liberty County 4-H members and leaders have the opportunity to participate in educational opportunities in a variety of ways.  Youth enrolling in 4-H learn parliamentary procedure, decision-making and business skills.  Each member enrolls in projects of their choice to learn more about topics of interest to them. Whether it is shooting a bow or an air rifle, raising an animal or learning about cooking, sewing, woodworking or photography, there is something for everyone. The 4-H program is the major youth development program that MSU Extension provides. 4-H is a nationally recognized youth enrichment program for youth ages 5 through 18. Liberty County 4-H offers many opportunities for the youth of the county.  We currently have 38 members and 23 leaders enrolled in 4-H. There are currently 3 clubs in the county; Prairie Pals, Tiber 4-H and Sweet Grass Clovers.

Liberty County 4-H members have the opportunity to gain confidence through meetings, projects and a variety social events, such as the 4 County Marias Fair, 4-H Camp and Junior Leadership Camp to name just a few. The 4-H club work, along with individual project work, focuses on developing life skills.

The  4-H year starts October 1st and ends September 30th of each year. The member's 4-H age is his/her age at the beginning of the 4-H year (Oct.1). All forms will reflect that age for the entire 4-H year.
